The Smartscan T4 Series is designed for use in ‘High Risk’ machine safety applications such as press brakes, presses, robotic work cells, guillotines, wood working machines, metal folding machines and many others. It is a Type 4, Category 4 (EN 954-1) or up to SIL 3 in accordance to EN 61508 device. The T4 Series provides the customer with a powerful combination of full feature technology including muting, blanking (Fixed and Floating) and built in heaters plus a robust twin chamber housing (IP65) to help combat the harsh machine safety environments that safety light curtains are increasingly used in.

A T4 Series comprises of the Transmitter (Tx) and the Receiver (Rx) units providing two fail safe electronic outputs (control reliable). A connection cable is required at both the Transmitter (Tx) and Receiver head (Rx), options for 5m, 10m and 20m cables are available. Each enclosure is IP65 rated and comes with adjustable mounting brackets. Where a relay output option is required the T4 Series can be connected to our Multifunction Safety Unit (MFU) 011-150 which provides safety relay output switching. In addition it has options for connecting two T4 Series safety light curtains plus E-Stop inputs. A selection of accessories including mounting stands, reset station and mirror systems are also available.

The Integron solution allows you great flexibility in designing a wide range of machine safety control solutions via the programmable memory chips whilst only having to concern yourself with a couple of sets of hardware controllers. The Integron system uses two completely separate controllers, each selectable and programmable, but with Dynamic Data Exchange features, so that each can monitor the other.
